Issey Miyake Inspiration
As part of a project, I have been looking at Issey Miyake and found him to be truly inspiring. I love this image showing the movement he allows his garments to have. He brings fashion and architecture together to create new and inspiring looks, and because of Miyake I have found a new love for pleats.
H&M Spring/Summer 2011
Here is a sneak peak at the H&M Spring/Summer 2011 Collection, taken from WGSN. T collection focuses on reinventing classic trends and renewing old favourites. With the 60's and 70's being the two biggest influences of the up and coming season, there is a classic retro feel to the collections key garments, which include the blouse, dress, blazer and trousers. A sports-luxe feel is given to jersey basics whilst the blouse is seen as a key look, giving a sophisticated yet relaxed feel. I'm really loving the two pairs of boots, and the blouse and shorts look, they are perfect for the summer. I'm also really liking the boho maxi dress, it would look stunning on a beach holiday.

American Girl
I'm loving this trend I came across on ASOS.com. It combines sweetly feminine shapes and cuts from the 50's with a cool, preppy edge. The key piece of the trend being the varsity jacket. Mix prints and patterns, accessorising with bright, up beat colour making the trend perfect for spring. Also look out for the shirt dress in a range of different designs.
Alexander McQueen Spring RTW 2011
To say I am in love with the Spring 2011 collection from McQueen is a little of an understatement. Sarah Burton has done a fantastic job with McQueen's legacy, keeping his statements and detail a key in each of the garments. I have focused on a few key details to the show, i have only added a couple of images however i found it extremely hard narrowing it down.
Key looks taken from the collection are:-
-The traditional McQueen tail coat.
-Hard, peaked shoulders.
-Defying pattern.
-Structure, shape and embellishment.
-White, lace, raw edges.
-Clinched waist.
Coco Rocha for Elle Italia
The stunning Coco Rocha graces the pages of Elle Italia's January 2011 Edition. Featuring in not 1 but 3 beautiful editorials, Coco channels her inner Grace Coddington, wore electric brights and messed around in a diner, I think each of the 3 shoots are beautiful, check out the full article on style.com to view all the images and pick your favourite, I'm finding it hard to pick one!!
